This March marks a couple of special events for Goldenegg. First up, there’s our first ever Goldenegg Fashion Innovation Awards, which we’re really excited about. Aimed at recognising the hugely talented up-and-coming young designers in Ireland, we’ve been inundated with some amazing applications.

Finalists from each category – Student Designer of the Year; Accessory Designer of the Year; Jewellery Designer of the Year and Designer of the Year – will be announced on 3 February 2010. The awards ceremony will take place in the Radisson Blu, Galway on 18 March…a date that’s set to become the highlight of the Irish fashion calendar.

It’s a particularly special night for us, as it marks GALWAYnow’s 10^th birthday – so it’s going to be a party to remember! We’ve always aspired to showcasing Ireland’s most cutting-edge designers, giving young, up-and-coming designers an invaluable connection to the public. So it’s only apt that we recognise all that this talent has brought to this magazine while celebrating ten years of success.
