Say cheese…

White teeth make a huge difference to a person’s appearance. Fact. It takes years off, brightens your face, improves your smile.

Professional whitening is pretty pricey though, and sometimes not worth the money. I’m one of those who spent the €400 on professional whitening– what I was hoping for, I don’t know – something as impressive as an ‘All American’ smile, but not so cheesy maybe. So I was pretty peeved when I came out looking like I’d just given my teeth a good scrub.

I’ve also tried the Crest Whitestrips, which I think are great, if a little irritating to sensitive teeth. They’re affordable ($25 on www.cheaprogaine.com who ship in record time to Ireland) and really work. They’re a little fiddly though, and you’re pretty much housebound when you’ve got the strips on.

I’m just about to try out a new teeth whitening pen, which arrived on my desk this morning – the PolarWhitePro Professional Teeth Whitening Glaze. It claims to “dramatically” whiten teeth safely, eliminating dicolorations without causing any enamel harm. It looks promising – you can carry it around in your handbag – and it’s budget-friendly at only €35. I’ll start on it today and keep you posted…

This sounds pretty nifty. I’d be interested to see how it works out. I’m one of those who’s spent loads on professional whitening and it doesn’t last long enough for the amount you’re paying. Having something you can carry around and put on anywhere sounds cool.

It’s actually working really well Geraldine. I haven’t been using it every day, but whenever I feel like giving them an extra sparkle, I’ll use it. …and they’re definitely whiter and brighter afterwards. I’d definitely recommend it!
