Anyone notice how as time goes by, it’s becoming more and more difficult to meet up with friends? What used to be a daily chat on the phone, and every Saturday hitting the clubs, which turned into a weekly, then a monthly pizza, has now turned into a random coffee every now and again. The thoughts of reviving some sort of girlie social life has been on my mind recently, so when a colleague told me about the supper club that she and her girlfriends hold, I’ve decided to set the ball rolling. The idea is that once a month, someone hosts dinner in their house, and they cook the main course; one brings the starter, another the desert; one or two others bring wine (depending on the amount!). So it’s not one of those jobs where one friend puts on a huge spread, and it takes so much out of her that she refuses to ever do one again – it’s manageable, easy, and gets everyone involved. Once the dates are set, and once it becomes a regular in your lives, the less likely back-outs are. It’s a great idea – and very little room for excuses!
I’m having the first in my apartment in a couple of weeks time – any suggestions for an easy, tasty, but impressive dish?

Hey Jo!
