Style Mistress
Highstreet gems
This is a great trench from Top Shop. Neat and smart looking, with the touch of edge with zips and brass studs, it’s the perfect spring coat to throw over little dresses and denimns. (€122 )
Pretty Nude
This Top Shop lace dress (€68) is a sweet take on the underwear as outerwear trend, but. The nude is flattering, the style cute. Great with flats.
Satchel Savvy
The Mulberry Alexa is the most user-friendly, attractive, and on-trend bag that you could buy this season. Gone are the days when you had to balance your 10lb ‘it’ bag in the crook of your elbow footballer wife-style. It’s back to basics, and we love it! (€800).
Left-bank Chic
A nod to the Chanel-craze that’s still going strong, this Monsoon cardi (€110) is a little subtler than the navy and white ‘I want to be French’ look around at the minute. Dress it down with skinnies and a loose chignon for left-bank chic.
Trailblazer
I’m a huge fan of blazers; they always look great with jeans. This one from Hobbs (€190 ) is one of the best casual blazers in stores at the moment. Hobbs has upped the ante on its trend-appeal recently, and this season is no exception. Check them out online at www.hobbs.co.uk.
All Flared Up
Flares are back in this season; make sure they’re wider than wide – it’s not an excuse to extract those boot-cuts from the back of your wardrobe! These distressed jeans from Asos are so 70s, so comfy and so s/s 2010. (€35)
spring ruffles
Soft, sunny neutrals, flattering nudes and feminine ruffles give your wardrobe a romantic twist this season. This pretty floral print dress by Hobbs (€345) ticks all the trend boxes this season.
